Beginner Perfumery Workshop

Join us for an immersive, in-person Beginner Perfumery Workshop at Sarah Horowitz Parfums on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This intimate, hands-on class will be led by Sarah Horowitz-Thran, who will guide you through the fundamentals of fragrance creation—from understanding the history of perfume to the art of blending your own signature scent. Whether you're a fragrance lover or a curious beginner, this workshop is designed to inspire and empower you to craft a fragrance that is uniquely yours.

The day will begin with an introduction to the science of scent, fragrance structure, fragrance families, and the art of brief writing. You'll then explore a curated selection of fragrance and essential oils while learning the fundamentals of Sarah’s approach to blending and formula creation. Under Sarah’s expert guidance, you'll create two custom fragrances and experience the process of bringing an olfactory vision to life.

Participants may choose between two workshop options:

Workshop + Take-Home Perfumery Kit – $525

Includes the full workshop experience, all materials used in class to create a bespoke fragrance, and your own beginner perfumery kit to use during class and take home. The kit includes 15 half-ounce bottles of high-quality fragrance and essential oils, featuring a balanced selection of top, middle, and base notes.

Workshop Only – $325

Includes the full workshop experience and all materials to create your own bespoke fragrance. Participants selecting this option will use one of our in-house perfumery kits during the class.

Students will also receive 15% off all retail products and perfumery supplies purchased on the day of the workshop.

Spaces are limited to just 8 participants to ensure a personalized experience.

Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the workshop date.
